This series is trying to assimilate the works of the esteemed artist Ansel Adams. He took lots of landscape photos (most famously in Yosemite), and edited the exposure of each element, making one part of the photo overexposed and super bright, or underexposed and super dark. I tried my hand at it and these are my results.
You have followed the recipe really well and they all work great. I think your seventh eight and ninth photos are quite similar and you could of put in a few different photos. However The rest of your photos are fantastic, well done.
ReplyDeleteI really like that in these photos how the light affects the environments. I also like your use of different places like the city and the forest.
ReplyDeleteI really enjoyed your 5th photo, i think it is really beautiful. however, i think that a lot of the photos looked very similar, and could have used so variety. maybe if you had taken some photos on your way or at home because i know you live in the beautiful county of marin. other than that, i think your technique worket pretty well, maybe getting some clouds in the sky would have really made it pop.
ReplyDeleteI think you did a great job on your first set trying to mimic the photography style of Ansel Adams. I love the landscapes and how you made the photos in black and white to show the different shadows. I really like your fifth photo because the sky is darker than the houses. Great job on all of your photos!
ReplyDeleteI know how difficult it probably was to get such a wide landscape but you did a really great job capturing it.
